Chuck Berry & Leonard Cohen to be honored

Chuck Berry and Leonard Cohen are to be presented The 2012 Awards for Song Lyrics of Literary Excellence by PEN New England & The JFK Library. The ceremony will take place on February 26th 2012 in Boston, MA. 

The awards committee included Bono, Rosanne Cash, Elvis Costello, Paul Muldoon, Smokey Robinson, Paul Simon, Salmon Rushdie and Bill Flanagan.

Jerry Lee Lewis and two (rumoured) hospital stays in January 2012

According to Frankie Jean Lewis, Jerry Lee Lewis had to be admitted to the hospital on January 11th 2012 because of breathing problems, but was released the same day.

He was, according to his daughter Phoebe, back at the hospital on January 25th 2012 to receive treatment on his back.

As of today, he is doing fine and ready to return to the stage.
